Welcome to Enchant Week!
I am super excited for this week.
ENCHANT – to delight to a high degree:to impart a magic quality or effect to.
“To delight to a high degree” is about the most wonderful thing anyone could hope for and isn’t this just the perfect season for doing so? I know that with every present I select I want delight to just overflow for my recipient.
Planning for another’s enchantment is just one way we can enjoy the delight. We can also open ourselves up to BE ENCHANTED. Tamara finds some in her beloved San Francisco and January follows a rainbow to the end:

I almost missed it:
I was savoring the storm winds
as the trees danced and sang,
snowing brilliant spots of colored leaves in spiral dancing,
the autumn smells of wafting wood smoke and
chilled air invigorated my steps,
diamond drops decorated the edges of everything.
as I looked up, a gasp escapes my lips
mingling my warmth with the swirling cool:
A perfect rainbow arched over this world-
a pastel promise
an impossible but infinite delight
I slowed and saw
each of the fellow bundled travelers respond to this
unnecessary, yet vital beauty.
Truth
bounds toward
my lens of clarity
Nature’s elegant extravagance
feeds a part of the mystery-hungry places
within
treasures twist with impersonal impulses
toward equilibrium
and I
Oh I
am once again entranced by this spectacular planet
and the privilege of an existence
that comes with northern lights,
splashing cool waterfalls and waves,
citrus, sweet and salty tastes
sensuous skin
babies’ laugh
music’s movement
growing green things
seasons’ shifts
and
enigmatic, wondrous love
LOVE!
Yes! This week we strive to be “entranced” by our existence. This week we allow ourselves the chance to be enchanted and share its magic. If we take time to look we can find it everywhere.
