Speaking of Rest – tips for getting what you need

rest 400

Welcome to the Saturday Blog Party! This week’s topic is Rest. This means we are looking for everything and anything on the topic! Share posts or sites that inspire you to take more time for REST, discover the benefits of, and/or your challenges with getting it, literally Everything and Anything on the topic is welcome.

I’m going to kick things off with a few things that I think speak beautifully on the topic:

The Benefits of Sleep: 8 Tips for Getting Quality Sleep by Stacey Taggart for Keeper of the Home. “We all know how wonderful we feel after a great night’s sleep, and unfortunately, we all know how terrible we feel when we sleep poorly. In our fast-paced, over-worked and stressed-out society, getting a good night’s sleep is crucial. Our bodies, minds and souls depend on our ability to sleep for rejuvenation, repair and restoration.”

10 Ways to Maximize Moments of Rest by Rachel Wojnarowski of The Better Mom. “Today we’re pausing to creatively manage our time and discuss 10 ways to maximize moments of rest. These ideas are designed to simply remind us to take the time to be still.”

9 Effective Ways To Rest & Relax by Tom Parker of Free Fitness Tips. A fun infographic that gets to the heart of the matter. “(R)est and relaxation is still something a lot of people neglect when trying to lead a fit and healthy lifestyle. As a result, they end up feeling tired, run down and mentally drained which has a negative effect on their health and fitness goals.”

Here are the ground rules for this party:

  1. Share NEW and OLD posts on the topic. This is your chance to share your favorite posts. If they fit the topic and you think we could benefit it doesn’t matter when you wrote it. Wisdom is timeless!
  2. Share your’s and other’s posts! Ran across a timely tidbit? Let us hear about it too! When sharing someone else’s posts please say submitted by using your name or blog name.
  3. Leave a comment after posting letting us know why you think the post is worth our time. We are building a knowledge library and your context makes it all the more valuable!
  4. Have Fun! I hope to make this party a fun and valuable addition to your weekend blog hopping.

Note: This link up list will stay active so feel free to add items ANY time. If you don’t have a blog to share, photos, ETSY collections and essays are most welcome. Let me know if you need help linking them up!

I look forward to visiting all the treasures YOU add to the collection!
Outrageous Joy,
Kathy
