Sometimes I rest a lot! I sit under trees gazing onto the ocean, I sit in my living room musing and I crawl into my delicious bed and succumb to the comfort of clean sheets and sunshine shimmering through the trees outside my window.

My husband sometimes comments that I sleep a lot! Are you ever going to get out of bed? Sometimes I am so far down in my sleep that I cannot even answer and sleep tugs me back into its embrace.

I don’t ever feel that there is something wrong with all of it. Others may judge it as being lazy. In that moment I seem that way but then I will have long stretches of time where I am actively moving, getting things done. This seems to please everyone more.

I know that moments of rest whether it be sleep or sitting quietly are necessary to my well being as anything else that I choose to do. I emerge into the world connected to my being once again, fresh with new inspiration and a desire to get moving once again.

I believe that there is a rhythm to my life and if I allow it to move gently I will always be where I need to be, always know when to act and always know what to do next, when I need to.

I cannot know the hows and whys of the way that things unfold. I just know that if I don’t honor myself with times of quiet I am less able to follow the energies of my life so that they unfold in a pleasing way for me.

These quiet and restful times allow me time to catch up with all that I be. Soon enough I enter that world again, ready to play with others again and be more joyful than I was.

I have noticed that as I have worked with different tools that I have less need to remove myself from my world. I can be in it without feeling impinged upon by other people’s judgment and opinions, which become just another interesting point of view-even mine!

You are not meant to live your life alone dear ones-there are too many of you on your planet and those that read this are in the midst of many people, whether they be real in front of you or in cyberspace with your different ways of communicating thoughts to each other.

A time of rest will call to you when you need a break from that which tugs you from you. It is an opportunity for you to merge into your own being again and feel that which is you in order that you don’t mix up other people’s (no matter how lovely they can be) stuff with yours.

Your stuff is minute compared to others. So many of you feel everything around and think that it is yours. It isn’t. You are just being you the receiver, who is more aware than you are willing to acknowledge. Just for a moment consider this. You are not all of that. You are so much more. You know this, which is why you feel so awful sometimes. That awareness, when not acknowledged will make you feel so very heavy and as soon as you acknowledge it you will feel lighter.

So, dear ones, rest when you need it. Rest when your body needs to. Balance your
life in whatever way you need to, in order to joyfully be you in all of your magnificence.

There is no one way. Linda has her ways and you will have yours. Do the things that feel restful to you. Do the things that make your body sigh with relief and tell yourself- thank you -for listening. You will know. It will feel so very good and when you are ready to move again-you will know and it will feel good too.

So there you have it, you magnificent beings of light and love. This is who you be and rest can be one way to remember this. It is all in the contrasts. Rest-move-rest in the movement-rest in the naps-rest in the silence-rest in the musings-rest in nature-rest in creating-rest in whatever way feels restful in that moment that you need it.

You get to choose that which will bring you joy and bring you relief.

Off you go now… do that which feels joyful. Your choice and no one else’s’!
