What if it is NOT about the passion?

My work with Access Consciousness invited me into a new realm of possibilities. One of them that resonated with me was that words are more powerful than we know. Some of you will answer of course they are, but my viewpoint is different now.

So, if you would play with me on this a little and perhaps allow your mind to soften and remember that this life that you lead is not your first. Now if it isn’t your first then you have all sorts of remembrances within your being.

One of those would be what words meant long ago which affects us on a level that we are not consciously aware of. This makes sense to me and it might not to you.

So, if you want to continue to play with this you might want to consider the original meaning of passion; to suffer. Whoa! Suffer?

Yes, suffer as in the suffering of Christ on the cross.

Another meaning in this same dictionary is: intense beyond control. Whoa! Really?

So if you like to play with words and muse upon what this might mean to you the being here and now that wasn’t always here and now, then you might want to reconsider how you use words.

As I was musing, I thought to myself that passion cannot be sustained. It is way too hard to have that intensity all the time. Everything has an ebb and flow. Even those people that we might consider passionate about something have their moments of “nothing much going on right now”.

Maybe it is because they need a rest from all that passion! Like the passion that burns bright in a first love, the flames most always settles into a gentle glow. Yes-it can flare now and again but it can’t burn bright for too long. It is too intense.

So, what am I suggesting?

I am suggesting that, for myself, I prefer to have enthusiasm for my life. I want to approach each moment with as much enthusiasm as I can muster in that moment.

Sometimes there is a lot of it! Sometimes there isn’t.

Each of you was born with desires to experience different aspects of life on planet earth. Not all of them required one specific way to experience them. Some of them are.

Some of you are born to grace a stage with a voice that comes from the angels-even if it doesn’t literally sound like a celestial angels.

Some of you are born to delve into the sciences on your planet and some of you are born to experience being a mother for the first time.

Some of you –well we could go on and on because there is so much that is available to experience and you cannot do it all at once, though some of you give it a very good try!

Dear ones, it is not about the passion. It is about the joy. Whatever fills you up and inspires you to expand your being is what it is all about.

Be enthusiastic about your life and the life around you. Find ways to engage when something lights up in you and you will find yourself expanding in ways that might surprise you.

And so I had to look up enthusiasm in the before mentioned dictionary: to be inspired. I like that but it goes on with other definitions and points back to passion.

Really guys, we’re back to that?

Yes you are and so Linda you see that life cannot be defined by words unless you want it to be. Also, dear one, those words were not always relevant to you in a particular lifetime when they were used in those ways.

We can see you looking up joy now. Go ahead, we’ll wait. Yes you are sighing with relief. We wouldn’t steer you wrong.

Are you going to tell them?

Joy: to experience great delight and the emotion evoked by well-being, success, or good fortune.

And so I choose joy in whatever way that I can in whatever moment I can. As for my previous musings-well I stand by the process! It was fun!

We couldn’t have said it better. Go for your joy dear ones and the rest will work itself out. You can’t go wrong.
