Linda Adsetts is here with her weekly Go for the Joy message from The Group. Enjoy!

Gratitude has become a catch phrase of the spiritual movement towards love and peace. As a child I remember, when my parents were annoyed by my desires, being told to be “grateful” for what I had. It didn’t have the same feel then and still lingers in my memory.
I much prefer the word appreciation and that says volumes about how the word grateful impacted me. My dictionary defines gratitude as being in a grateful state. I much prefer to be in a state of appreciation for what surrounds me, but that is just me. I know, as the adult that I am, that gratitude is appreciation. I cannot be in a state of appreciation and not be in gratitude, but now I am just playing with words. (smile)
Yesterday, some friends sent me a link to a beautiful video from TedX, that addressed this very topic. If we look at our world as if it was our first day on earth and our last day on earth then we cannot help but be in gratitude for what surrounds us.
I have been working with Access Consciousness recently and the set up phrases are followed, in part, by this; good and bad, right and wrong. What would it be like if we were in a state of gratitude and appreciation for everything in our life. Contrasts abound in our world and without them we might not be so appreciative of what we do have.
The Group has this to tell us. ” The master is in a state of gratitude in every moment. No matter what is showing up they see the wonder of it all. They understand that the contrasts that present itself as good or bad, right or wrong are just that-contrasts that give us a platform to choose from. What will you choose? What will you decide? Can you find the love inherent in every single molecule on your planet? It is there, often hidden quite well from your human eyes.
Everything was birthed in love and it may have been moulded into something unrecognizable, but it is there. You get to choose if you can see it. You get to choose if love can be present. Is the contrast trying to show you something? These are questions that only each individual can answer. It is a very personal journey that you are on. Yes, there are similarities but each journey is unique as you sift and sort your way back into love, into gratitude for everything that shows itself to you.
There is no good or bad, right or wrong. It is a very personal, cultural, geographical response to life. The beauty of it all is that you get to choose. Will you choose from your heart or will you follow the norm of those around you-unless of course the norm around you are the young ones who delight in so much-ignoring-not choosing-very wisely to focus upon what is wrong and most always focusing on the essence of love.
Your response will tell you volumes about yourself. Your response is leading you back to you. You get to choose. Love and gratitude or bad or wrong. It is not about being bad or wrong-it is about being love. Love sees the world through eyes of gratitude. Here you are on planet earth, the place you wanted to play upon! You chose this and you are creating everything. You can be the tipping point-one of you will be. The one who tips the world smack into gratitude and love.
What will you choose?
