The One Way to Create the Magic that You Are

Linda Adsetts and The Group are here with their weekly Go for the Joy message. Enjoy!

Joy Seeker by Pauline Leger

I have been thinking about my purpose, or what I thought was my purpose. I am discovering that when I make a decision about something I cut off any future possibilities that just might be way better than anything I could have imagined.

What if life wasn’t meant to be lived by purpose-other than joy of course. What if by deciding our purpose we then, through that conclusion end up making decisions that weren’t serving us?

We are infinite beings creating our life and every time we come to a conclusion, judgment or decision about something we cut off our awareness of what else is possible. If we can allow our awareness to grow then we can begin to step into choices that are available. But with resolve to do things a particular way we have already cut off any of the infinite possibilities that will serve us better.

Recently I found myself in a situation, the kind that pushed a few buttons. I am sure you have those moments too. We all do.
Used to be that when my buttons on this topic were pushed I would go into reaction. Does that serve me? No, it most certainly doesn’t!

Reaction is based on my past, my story and my story will confine me and define me if I let it. Ahh…there is the key. If I let it.

So say that someone near and dear to you, accused you of being selfish. What would that bring up in you? I’m not selfish! I am a very caring person and caring people aren’t selfish! How can you say that about me? You could insert any other judgment in here that strikes a chord with you, a caring person.

When you see yourself as a caring person, resolve to be a more caring person, you live your life from that definition. A caring person does this and that and this, oh and lets not forget that too!

But sometimes a caring person is selfish and how many of you make yourselves feel wrong for being selfish? What if being selfish was actually caring about you?

When we begin to care about ourselves, it is only then that we can begin to give fully. I cannot pour from an empty jug and I bet you, that you cannot either.

And so I find myself back at purpose. What if my only purpose was to care enough for myself so that I can be the joy seeker that I be? What if by being thoroughly me, I had more to offer the world? And I get to have fun too? How much better can it get?

The Group believes in living from joy and tells me that if you had but one purpose, one resolution it would serve you well to resolve to be a being of joy. The world is a playground for all of you but so many of you live your life as if it were a minefield. The only bombs that threaten to go off are the ones that you create for you. You place yourself in your self created boxes and forget who you are. The boxes are meant to be busted up and recycled for another purpose-gift boxes perhaps?

You as creators are on your planet of choice to come to this one thing-this one knowing. You are joy seekers and in the seeking of the joy you will find the remembrance of your own magnificence. There are many paths to that memory and many ways in which you walk it. However, dear ones, when you come to definitive judgments and conclusions about how things are supposed to be you cut yourself off from the help that is available to you. It is hidden until the moment you ask a question-like what if?

There is only the one way to create the magic that you are and that is to be aware in each moment and allow for the infinite possibilities to show themselves-the ones that you have been waiting for-then you can claim one of them as a choice-as the magical soulution.

We have one judgement of you-you are a magnificent being of light and love and one purpose for you to follow….

  1. LOVE your posts, Linda! Joy seeker… I can relate to that. Every day I wake up and see love as my big purpose for the day. What happens, happens. And what gets done, gets done… But it all begins with love. :o)

  2. Linda: Hey, very inspirational! I am certainly trying to be more aware throughout my everyday life. I think that it is very easy to live life on auto-pilot doing the samething the same way over and over again. When I first started trying to be more aware it was hard because I was used to living on auto-pilot, but with time it is becoming more natural to be aware of what I am thinking, how I am feeling at different moments and what is really going on around me.

I started doing somethings that I have never done before and I am actually starting to like them a little more each time. I also started to get back into some of my old habits of joy (Like some of the old video games I used to have fun playing, watching movies, etc) and I have found out that my joy never really left, maybe subsided for a little, but never went totally away.

At this point in my life, no one is going to tell me how to live my life because that is just it, it’s my life so what right does another person have to tell you have it should be lived? People may not agree with what makes me happy and they might not even like it, but at the end of the day, I have to do what bring me joy.

Sidenote* A great movie I just recently watched was “Good Deed’s by Tyler Perry” and it is at redbox (If you have redbox where you live). ( :

    Anyways, best wishes!

    • Thankyou William for sharing with me! It sounds as if you have discovered what is important for you. Access Consciousness has a saying- “Just for me-just for fun!”
We cannot pour from an empty jug and unless we “go for the joy” we are empty-not so nice.
Just saw your comment today July 28th.
      Again-thankyou!

This is SO true. In the past, I always felt like I needed to prove myself in a job or impress my boss so that I’d be worth something as an employee. The same kind of attitude reflected in other aspects of my life, until I realized that I was not doing myself any good. It was only when I took stock of my life and give myself an open door to do the things that fulfilled me when I REALLY felt excited about living.
Thanks for writing this, Linda! I’m so blessed.
I hope you can one day guest on my blog, where I write about mom-bliss and creating a life that works for you. I think we’re on the same page about a LOT of things! Have a great day!

    • Hi Martine,

I am in awe of the younger people that are getting this much faster than I ever did!
