Business, like life, relies of cycles of growth. Projects don’t spring fully-formed from our frontal lobes – there’s a process there, a going-through. What’s the big magic secret to success, to abundance, to rocking your biz? And what does it have to do with elephants and weeds?
Welcome to Bliss for Business! If you’re an entrepreneur, small business owner, or career-driven individual, tune in on Wednesdays to join Dani on an adventure to learn how to bring your work life in harmony with the thirteen Bliss Habits.

Business, like life, relies of cycles of growth. Projects don’t spring fully-formed from our frontal lobes any more than mama elephants give birth to other mama elephants, or dandelions pop bright yellow and tall from the grass on the Spring Equinox. There’s a process there, a going-through.
Baby elephants and seedlings know what to do, though. An intake of nutrients and time, an absence of predators (or lawnmowers), and poof! Growth has occurred, and they’re on the other side of it.
I’ve been doing this business-owner thing for over a decade now, and I can say with confidence that it’s never that simple. Except that it is, every single time.
The big magic secret, the key to success, to abundance, to profit, to making your biz whatever you want it to be? It’s change. You can’t grow unless you change. Change is the lifeblood, the sunshine, the food and water your business needs to grow.
Not getting enough clients? Change something.
Not making enough money? Change something.
Not enough traffic to your site? Change something.
(Corollary: once you’ve made change, give it time to settle before you try something else – that’s the only way to tell what’s actually working for you.)
That’s really it. That’s all there is to it. If what you’re doing now is not bringing you success (however you define it), it never, ever will.
Change your actions, change your outlook, change your definition of where you want to go…but quit spinning your wheels and change something.
What can you change today to move your biz forward?

This was good pep talk, Dani! I’m in a transition phase with my creative business in that I’m trying some new ways to bring in more traffic and sales. But I’m finding that being open to change or trying something new is pretty liberating. If it improves things, so much the better. I’m trying not to get hung up on a specific result in the meantime, but see what the change brings up. It’s definitely challenging… and scary at times!…LOL!
Love that liberation, Tracy! 🙂
