nourish 400

Welcome to the Blog Party!  This week we are talking Nourish.  This means we are looking for everything and anything on the topic!

NOURISH – supply with what is necessary for life, health, and growth

What it means, how to do it, nourishing your soul, body and life… really ANYTHING and EVERYTHING on the topic.

I’m going to start things off by directing you to three posts (updated 3/9/14) I think speak beautifully on the topic:

Eat Beautiful: Nourish Your Body Mind And Soul by Rachel Jessica Tan ~12 months ago, I decided to take a good, hard look at what I was eating and putting into my body. I thought I was quite healthy, but as soon as I started my research I realised just how much I didn’t know about the foods that I was putting into my body.

100 WAYS TO FEED YOUR MIND, BODY, SOUL AND SPIRIT By Rebecca Ronald “This lifestyle alteration is so simple. It is all about re-discovering the things of importance and making small changes in day-to-day life to ensure that the health of your mind, body, soul and spirit are first and foremost in your daily decisions.

If It Doesn’t Nourish Your Soul Get Rid of It  Short and sweet by Dr. Sherrie Campbell, Ph.D.“…today I ask you to examine in your life and identify the things, people, places, events and circumstances which no longer nourish your soul and to start the process of lovingly releasing these things in your life.”

Check them out and add your own finds in a comment or in the linky below. Remember NEW and OLD posts by you and others are welcome.

Here are the ground rules for this party:

  1. Kathy,
always a happy an dpeasurable time when I come to yoru blog to read great stories and articles by you or others that you select…

This time was no exception… as I was reading about Rachel Jessica Tan, I seen my self not doing so great even so I though I was.. her aproach to make gentle changes and achieve great results where an eye openere for me in a different way… and knowing she wrote the book about it: Eat Beutiful it was interesting, never though any one can do it so eloquently.

Then was Lisa Eisenstadt who shared a wonderful message as well: “body, mind, and soul—the three necessary elements for total wellness and balance” and the last and for certain the most profound was the short but powerful message from Dr. Sherrie Campbell: “If It Doesn’t Nourish Your Soul Get Rid of It.”

Wow, THANKS so much for exposing my self and so many others to such great information that can make such a deep impact in our health and lifestyle…
    Thanks again.

  2. What nourishes me is art, creating it, helping people discover their creativity, and writing in my journal – an activity I’ve done since I was 16. Thank you for reinforcing the importance .. of loving yourself…

  3. i have to say Kathy, that exercise nourishes me!! Whether it be a walk and breathing the fresh air inhaling lots of new ideas, or doing yoga and enjoying breath, working out intensely to feel the heart pound and the lungs work.. it all nourishes me!! Enjoying a tea latte a chocolate or listening to my favourite music…

  5. HI Kathy! I think my healthy lifestyle nourishes me, I do start my day with yoga and meditation then later in the morning I love to take my hike through the woods. I guess even my grandchildren nourish to some degree, This post is Awesome it does make one think. Thanks for sharing Chery :))

    • Kathy says:

As I mentioned in reply to Holly, exercise is not yet my friend. I intend to stay active for many many more years so I really do need to change this. 🙂

So happy you enjoyed the post!

  6. Beautiful scenery, walks on the beach, the sound of a child laughing, and working in my garden all nourish me. I eat healthily because of diabetes but allow myself a food treat once in a while. If you only have such treats occasionally they are really special and so much more enjoyable. A small piece of chocolate cake is good for my soul 🙂

    • Kathy says:

Sue, allowing yourself to feel nourished by many things is very important! Thank you for sharing part of your list. I haven’t had chocolate in a while… today may just be the day to change that!

  7. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I could be wrong but in my
college years there have been just a couple of services that could assist with homework completion. These days, however,
there are so many that it is tough to tell a
good academic platform from a poor one. Last month I
had a professional editor to verify my research paper.

Luckily, I found a team of experienced writers and editors :
https://essayhub.com. This service was able to assist me with my newspaper editing in just
3 days! I really don’t have an opinion about most
of essay writing companies, but that is 100% dependable and trustworthy.
