Speaking of Naked… what will you reveal?

Naked 400

Welcome to the Blog Party!  This week we are talking Naked.  This means we are looking for everything and anything on the topic!

NAKED – without the customary covering, container, or protection; bare, exposed

Metaphoric and physical, daring or not. when you’ve felt most exposed or wish you had shared more, what it means to be it… literally Everything and Anything on the topic are all welcome.

I’m going to start things off by directing you to three posts I think speak beautifully on the topic.

Look, he’s naked – thoughts on gender equality  by Roland of Handcrafted Travelers.  “Look, he’s naked” – noted my daughter calmly as we were pumping water from the public well and she looked over to the neighboring property recently turned into an eco theme park that features a large hedge maze with wooden bridges, pavilion, a pond and all.”

8 Reasons You Should Be Naked More Often by Kate Fridkis for The Frisky. “Anyway, there I was, naked, in front of this mirror. And for some reason, I took a long moment, just to look. And it was weird. Because it occurred to me that I never do that. Which I guess is actually pretty normal. But the weird part was that I didn’t really know my own naked body.”

How Naked Can You Go? by Carolyn A. Scarborough of Backyard Pearls. “What caught me off guard was her obvious pride in a body that wasn’t 17, but at least 70. It was clear that shame had long ago drifted away and been replaced by acceptance.”

AND if you are looking for more, check out our last “Speaking of Naked” party!

Check them out and add your own finds in a comment or in the linky below. Remember NEW and OLD posts by you and others are welcome.

Here are the ground rules for this party:

  1. Share NEW and OLD posts on the topic. This is your chance to share your favorite posts. If they fit the topic and you think we could benefit it doesn’t matter when you wrote it. Wisdom is timeless!
  2. Share your’s and other’s posts! Ran across a timely tidbit? Let us hear about it too! When sharing someone else’s posts let us know that in a comment.
  3. Leave a comment after posting letting us know why you think the post is worth our time. We are building a knowledge library and your context makes it all the more valuable!
  4. Have Fun! I hope to make this party a fun and valuable addition to your weekend blog hopping.

Note:  If you don’t have a blog to share, photos, ETSY collections and essays are most welcome. Let me know if you need help linking them up!

I look forward to visiting all the treasures YOU add to the collection!
Outrageous Joy,
Kathy

P.S. Next week we will be “Speaking of Courage” and looking for posts and places that will foster this Bliss Habit!

There are so many ways to “feel” naked… as a retired professional photographer after 30 years, I hung up my camera, this left me feeling totally venerable and naked. When I was behind my camera, I was confident, in charge and successful. Once the camera and my passion for photography was gone, I felt bare.. naked! It has been through prayer, discernment and encouragement from my loving husband, family and friends a new path was revealed. One I had traveled since childhood, one I had turned to in times of joy, sorrow, searching and praise… writing! My first small inspirational book, “The Spirit of the Lord is Within You” was self-published in October, 2013. My second book is almost ready to be published… one in a series called “When God Whispers…”. No longer do I hide behind a camera… my heart, mind and spirit are open to whatever God places within me… after all, He sees our nakedness through all our cloaks!
