Speaking of Inquiry… where does your Curiosity take you?

INQUIRY – a seeking or request for truth, information, or knowledge; study, scrutiny, exploration.

Welcome to the Saturday Blog Party! This week’s topic is Inquiry. This means we are looking for everything and anything on the topic! Tips and  tools for starting an Inquiry, information about your favorite inquiry …  literally Everything and Anything on the topic are all welcome.

This Inquiry week has taken us to dark and contemptible places, the intention of inquiry, using curiosity as a a tool for success, chasing dandelion wishes and contemplating consumerism… whew!! What a list and what a topic!! There really is nothing in our world that couldn’t stand a good  old fashioned inquiry. So today I’m sharing a few posts that honor the wonder and curiosity in all of us!

Check them out and please add your own finds in the linky below. Remember NEW and OLD posts by you and others are welcome,I’m really looking for anything that sends us down an inquiring path so please don’t be shy!

  • Scenes of Wonder & Curiosity: A Wide-Ranging Retrospective  – A thrilling retrospective exhibit by Ted Orland, certain to evoke the inquisitive in anyone. From the press release: “Lead an interesting life and you will make interesting art” is Orland’s overall theory. His photography, with its intriguing mix of format, technique and content, is evidently an integral part of that life. Instead of creating large series’ of work concentrating on a particular subject, Orland simply hangs his camera around his neck and sets out across the countryside, recording his encounters with wildly varying scenes of wonder and curiosity along the way.
  • Creating a Love List: the wonder of the little things   An inspirational post from a delightful “new to me” blog Inspired by Wonder. “What are the little things that you are thankful for? What are the little, everyday things that make life worth living? Do you notice them? … A Love List is simply a personal list of all the little things in life that make it worthwhile. It is a life of childlike wonder that some of us must rediscover as we grow older. It’s living fully by relishing the moment in the precious present.”
  • A few thoughts on Inspiration – What I love about this post is that we catch Caroline Leon, of Life is Limitless, right in the middle of her inquiry about inspiration. Will she find it? Exactly what is it? These are the questions she tackles, concluding that it is “bigger then us” and leaving us more in awe of it’s wonder then when we started.

Here are the ground rules for this party:

  1. Share NEW and OLD posts on the topic. This is your chance to share your favorite posts. If they fit the topic and you think we could benefit it doesn’t matter when you wrote it. Wisdom is timeless!
  2. Share your’s and other’s posts! Ran across a timely tidbit? Let us hear about it too! When sharing someone else’s posts please designate this by putting an *asterisk before the listing and please say submitted by using your name or blog name.
  3. Leave a comment after posting letting us know why you think the post is worth our time. We are building a knowledge library and your context makes it all the more valuable!
  4. Have Fun! I hope to make this party a fun and valuable addition to your weekend blog hopping.

Note: This link up list will stay active until NEXT Inquiry week so feel free to add items ANY time until then. I may pick a guest feature from the collection so PLEASE don’t be shy about adding your best posts! If you don’t have a blog to share, photos, ETSY collections and essays are most welcome. Let me know if you need help linking them up!

I look forward to visiting all the treasures YOU add to the collection!
Outrageous Joy,
Kathy

P.S. Next week we will be “Speaking of Community” and looking for posts and places that will foster this Bliss Habit!
