Speaking of Change

Change 400

Welcome to the Blog Party!  This week we are talking Change.  This means we are looking for everything and anything on the topic!

CHANGE – To become different; a transformation or modification; alteration

What it means, how you have or wish to change, embracing and avoiding it… really ANYTHING and EVERYTHING on the topic.

I’m going to start things off by directing you to three posts I think speak beautifully on the topic:

Five Things Not to Do When You’re Making a Really Big Change by Laurie White. “Call it counterintuition, or a cautionary tale: these are absolutely the things I know now that I should have done that I didn’t, that would have set me up for more success in even the short run of a brand new start.”

WHAT A RIDE! LANDING SAFELY IN NYC (I THINK) AND MAKING A FEW FUN DISCOVERIES! by Kristen Davin – a fun post for any NYC lover. “I have discovered that when you are in the spin cycle of life, until you safely land on your feet (and they actually touch the ground) and life returns to some semblance of normalcy, does the time that has elapsed provide clarity for a deeper understanding of what has transpired.”

THE FUTURE IS COMING. 6 WAYS IT WILL CHANGE EVERYTHING by Google’s Blaise Agüera y Arcas. A great post for the TedX and change obsessed (like me!) “How will our minds be blown in the next 30 years? Well, that’s quite a long time, given the acceleration in history. Still, I’ll be brave and make six hypotheses.”

Check them out and add your own finds in a comment or in the linky below. Remember NEW and OLD posts by you and others are welcome.

Here are the ground rules for this party:

  1. Share NEW and OLD posts on the topic. This is your chance to share your favorite posts. If they fit the topic and you think we could benefit it doesn’t matter when you wrote it. Wisdom is timeless!
  2. Share your’s and other’s posts! Ran across a timely tidbit? Let us hear about it too! When sharing someone else’s posts let us know that in a comment.
  3. Leave a comment after posting letting us know why you think the post is worth our time. We are building a knowledge library and your context makes it all the more valuable!
  4. Have Fun! I hope to make this party a fun and valuable addition to your weekend blog hopping.

Note:  If you don’t have a blog to share, photos, ETSY collections and essays are most welcome. Let me know if you need help linking them up!

I look forward to visiting all the treasures YOU add to the collection!
Outrageous Joy,
Kathy

P.S. Next week we will be “Speaking of Reflection” and looking for posts and places that will foster this Bliss Habit!
