Speaking of Adventure – where do you find yours?

Speaking of Adventure 400

Welcome to the Blog Party!  This week we are talking Adventure. This means we are looking for everything and anything on the topic! Tips for finding and enjoying, stories of adventures planned or already taken,…  literally Everything and Anything on the topic are all welcome.

I’m going to start things off by directing you to three posts I think speak beautifully on the topic.

Check them out and add your own finds in the linky below. Remember NEW and OLD posts by you and others are welcome, just tell us when you are sharing someone else’s work!

A YEAR OF MICROADVENTURE by National Geographic Adventurer of the Year, Alastair Humphreys. “This is the year of the microadventure: a whole year when, instead of exotic foreign adventures, I am committed to trying to encourage people to get outside, get out of their comfort zone, go somewhere they’ve never been, go on a microadventure. An adventure that is close to home, cheap, simple, short, and yet very effective.”

For the Love of Adventure by Barbara Hemphill. “I’m not into “danger,” but I have always loved adventure which I define simply as “an activity with an unknown result.”

Visiting the Wacko Soap Plant (the 2nd Happiest Place on Earth) and Hiking Mount Roubidoux  The latest post from the delightful “Mr. and Mrs. Adventure” – really anything on this blog fits the adventure bill! Take a peek. You’ll be glad you did.

Here are the ground rules for this party:

  1. Share NEW and OLD posts on the topic. This is your chance to share your favorite posts. If they fit the topic and you think we could benefit it doesn’t matter when you wrote it. Wisdom is timeless!
  2. Share your’s and other’s posts! Ran across a timely tidbit? Let us hear about it too! When sharing someone else’s posts let us know that in a comment.
  3. Leave a comment after posting letting us know why you think the post is worth our time. We are building a knowledge library and your context makes it all the more valuable!
  4. Have Fun! I hope to make this party a fun and valuable addition to your weekend blog hopping.

Note:  If you don’t have a blog to share, photos, ETSY collections and essays are most welcome. Let me know if you need help linking them up!

I look forward to visiting all the treasures YOU add to the collection!
Outrageous Joy,
Kathy

P.S. Next week we will be “Speaking of Mindfulness” and looking for posts and places that will foster this Bliss Habit!

MINDFULNESS –an attentive awareness of the reality of things, especially of the present moment; thoughtful, aware

  1. Oops – I botched up and didn’t properly crop the picture for Life is an Adventure – Ann. The post is about my friend who views life as an adventure and I accidentally cropped her out. 🙂
Fun topic! Thanks for including my link.

Susan, first of all thank you for stopping by and contributing! I can update your photo if you wish… or we can just encourage everyone to click and see her for themselves! 😉

  2. Hi Kathy,

Way cool idea! Traveling the world for 3 years I have a few adventure stories. 3300 posts, actually. I’ll link to it, and of course, will check out these stories you shared now.
