Seeing through eyes of Wonder

Wonder in a Child’s Hands by Heather Liebler (click image for details)

What if we continued to see our world through the eyes of child? What do you think might happen?

Children see the world much differently than most of us. It is all a new experience for them. They are constantly wondering about life and asking questions of us. They are in a state of wonder and amazement over the very things that we pass by.

Fingers move? That’s my foot? I have a nose? Dandelions are beautiful to them, puppies and kittens send them into a state of rapture. Shooting stars bring their attention to the skies and suddenly they wonder what it might be like to high up above the world. Bugs crawling in the grass, bees gathering honey, birds swooping overhead are all things that can stop them in their tracks as they discover the miracles and the bounty that is life on planet earth.

I have a photo of my son when he was two pointing up in the sky at a plane flying overhead with a look of curiosity on his face. What is it? How does it stay up there?

Yesterday a whale was found on our local beach, early in the morning. The word quickly spread and people gathered. He passed within the hour and still the crowds gathered. A teacher took embraced the opportunity and walked her fourth grade class to the spot, parents kept their children out of school and took them down so that they could experience the wonder of the beautiful creature. We rarely get to see the wonder of the creatures that are so often, hidden from view, off of our coast.

The whale beached on native land and they gathered in ceremony to see the whale onto its’ next incarnation. What a wonderful experience for all who were there. They were able to witness the sacredness that can be created around death.

Everyone that was there was affected by the whale. The whale may have offered itself as a gift in order for humans to appreciate the oceans and all they contain. Suddenly it is not an intangible something out there. Now it is made more real by its’ very presence.

The children will never forget and I wonder who among them will become an artist who paints the magic of the depths, a marine biologist, a nature conservationist, a protector of the oceans? Lives have been changed by the gift of the young whale and I wonder how how world will change because of it.

The Group understands the sacredness of the event.

Everyone of you holds a unique vibration on planet earth. Every being holds a unique vibration on planet earth that contains the universal records of life on planet earth. Your very cells hold the keys to everything that has been and is. There is an intelligence inherent in all of you. The whales hold a living and unique frequency that they transmit through the waters and you dear ones are 80% water. Do you think perhaps that you receive that frequency of love? Do you think perhaps that their very beings might just be holding your future within them? They hold records within their beings of past and of possibilities for your future. Nothing is inconsequential on planet earth. Each being either static or animated, in your perception, contributes to the whole that you reside on and that includes you.

Children know this until you tell them otherwise. They do not see just a dandelion. They see and feel the vibration of the dandelion, they see and feel the vibration of birds and bugs. Their eyes have not be veiled by judgment and conclusion. They have not learned to deem anything bad or wrong. To them it just is.

They see through eyes of wonder and that dear ones is a wonderful state of grace. Today we ask you would you, could you take a moment and begin to see through the eyes of the child that still lives within you?

Nature is the easiest way to begin. You are so used to your body that it ceases to amaze you, (smile) though it is quite amazing!

Nature will find it’s way into every nook and cranny on earth, given the chance. Are you in awe of the dandelion that manages to grown in a crack in the pavement? You might want to be. Have you looked up at the night sky recently and see what is above you? Do you ever wonder how it is that you, dear ones, chose planet earth for your playground?

It is your playground and your opportunity to add to the universal records with your expanding frequencies as you become in awe of all that surrounds, natural or otherwise. Planes in the sky are just as awesome!

Take this day and begin to notice the wonder of the world that you have been co-creating. Take a moment to witness and by your very witnessing you will hold the energy of love on your planet. What do you want to witness today? Perhaps love?

I felt inspired by this post. Thank you for writing it, as i now remember my endless questions when I was a child and some of the responses i got. I even remembered that I wasn’t sure whether a dandelion seed was alive or not the first time i saw one because it moved so much!
