Outside The Moment In Mind

Living Bliss - Head In The Clouds

The odd thing being mindful about mindfulness is thinking too much about what mindful is,

resulting in a full mind of thoughts and defeating the purpose of being mindful in the first place.

True awareness of the moment requires a degree of empty mindedness and detachment in order to see unfiltered and uncoloured by beliefs.

Especially where reality is involved.

Because reality is very difficult to untangle from who we are and the experiences we’ve been through.

Reality is not what really is, but what we make really is.

To move beyond that we have to step outside the moment, to be of not in.

We become the objective observer of the bigger picture.

We breathe, and
Mindful Moments

Exhale.

Release and

Let go

of what we think is,

in order to

See,

Question,

Wonder, and

Allow what might be.

Once we become mindful, we cannot see the same again.

Like a balloon once expanded cannot return to its original form.

Perhaps close when we try very hard, but not the same.

Mindfulness is not a doing reserved for particular times, but a way of being.

A way of honouring the many expressions of Life.

Of honouring You.

Living Bliss is a jump-in-with-both-feet look at where Life bumps into the everyday – whether at work, play or times in between. Bliss knows no separation in the end. From a deeper dive into the ordinary pops forward the extraordinary life we search for – and has been there waiting for us to be.

  1. Hi Lorraine.

Excellent 🙂 Being in the moment helps you see when you are thinking and when you are being. Thinking too much causes tension in my being. During meditation I can feel the tension build up in my feet and hands; my toes literally curl LOL….especially in my left foot.

Even as I write when I get to thinking too much old toe curl starts up 😉 Thank the Universe for meditation. I get to watch, observe and release more frequently which returns me to my normal peaceful, relaxed state.

    Thanks for sharing Lorraine!

    • Love the toe curling Ryan! I can also tell when I’m thinking too much and the shift it causes in how connected I feel. I know now when my head feels full and wound up I need to get out of my head. Signals are so powerful.

  2. Yes, it took time yet I learned over analyzing in a fault. You take action and adjust on the way by what you learn from each step to accomplish a given thing. Yes, we have a vision/thought and then take action without over analyzing the end results.

You make it understandable and that is what I enjoy most of all about your style of presenting a matter to us readers.

I am eager to read more of your knowledge and experiences. Thank you so much for sharing.
