My A-Z Thanksgiving list! What are you thankful for?

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Last year I collected a catalog of thanks and compiled it here!  I thought ot was worth another look today! It is by no means a comprehensive list but it continues to be fun to look at… so here you have it… 26 letters and 130+ things I am thankful for!

As you peruse my list it might be fun to consider what might be on yours…

 

I am thankful for ACQUAINTANCES destined to be come friends.

I am thankful for AMOUR which my dear Sweetie gifts me every day.

I am thankful for APPLES which always deliver a satisfying taste cooked,in pies and tortes, or raw off the tree.

I am thankful for ANIMALS; who always remind me that I am sharing the planet and that being cute really can matter.

I am thankful for APPRECIATION bestowed on me and AVAILABLE to me because I get to play this great human game.

For what “A” are you thankful?

I am thankful for BEAUTY found in the tiniest and largest of spaces.

I am thankful for BACON (Enough said!)

I am thankful for my BROTHER and wish he lived a little closer!

I am thankful for BLISS sometimes allusive, always a joy to seek!

I am thankful for BEN (Franklin) who’s autobiography inspired my Bliss Habits game.

For what “B” are you thankful?

I am thankful for CREATIVITY and the ability to use it daily!!

I am thankful for CHEESE! As a former vegan I am late to this love but have embraced her dearly!

I am thankful for CRAYONS. A new box full of possibility and the single one at the bottom of my purse which allows me to finish a dinner while my five year old completes her next napkin masterpiece.

I am thankful for COFFEE that my sweetie and I sip in our cherished moments together before our day is in full swing.

I am thankful for CHILDREN and my CHILD in particular. Every day is a true Joy when looking through her eyes!

For what “C” are you thankful?

I’m thankful for DOGS, so loyal, so fuzzy.

I am thankful for making wishes on DANDELIONS.

I am thankful for DELIGHT which surprises me on a DAILY basis.

I am thankful for our countries DISASTER relief programs and all the people that will be helped this week.

I am thankful for being and having a DAUGHTER.

For what “D” are you thankful?

I’m thankful for EGGS. The perfect go to food.

I am thankful for the EARTH and pledge to do better at advocating for and protecting her.

I am thankful for ELEPHANTS. So marvelous and full of mystery, the more I learn about their family structure and caring for each other shows me we still have a lot to learn!

I am thankful for my Sweetie’s EMBRACE.

I am thankful for EQUALITY and hope her wings spread even wider in my lifetime!

For what “E” are you thankful?

I am thankful for the FUNKE clan (for those of you who didn’t know, before I became a Sprinkle, I was, for 40+ years. a Funke!)

I am thankful for FRENCH FRIES. I only like and tolerate really good ones! (Heck I even blog about them… see link in first comment!)

I am thankful for FREEDOM. I am clear that I have won a human lottery by being born in the United States… I never will stop being supremely grateful.

I am thankful for FACEBOOK which besides its foibles, does allow me to meet and get to know so many lovely folks from all around the world!

I am thankful for FRIENDS too numerable to count. My life is so blessed. Thank you everyone!!

I am thankful for GHOULS, GHOSTS, GOBLINS and other Halloween treats.

I am thankful for GOATS which always entertain.

I am thankful for GREEN alternatives.

I am thankful for all GOOD things!

For what “G” are you thankful???

I am thankful for ICE. Soothing for boo boos, refreshing in drinks!

I am thankful for INDULGENCE. Sometimes a whim deserves to be answered!

I am thankful for INTEGRITY and those who have it.

I am thankful for INSPIRATION found all around the world.

I am thankful for IMAGINARY friends, like an IGUANA named Jelly, who delight my girl.

For what “I” are you thankful?

I am thankful for JESSIE. My incredibly delightful five year old who makes me proud every day!

I am thankful for the Landmark Forum which showed me that I can live as the possibility of Outrageous JOY!!!

I am thankful for JOKES to make me smile.

I am thankful for Strawberry JAM or JELLY on my toast.

I am thankful for the concept of JUSTICE and the promise it sings.

For what “J” are you thankful?

I am thankful for KITTENS. Purry, delightful fuzzballs of love!

I am thankful for KNOW-HOW, inspiring when deployed before my eyes… thank you Sweetie for yours!!

I am thankful for my KIDNEYS which do a great job keeping my body healthy.

I am thankful for KINDNESS given and received.

I am thankful for KISSES for and from my Sweetie and my little girl.

For what “K” are you thankful?

I am thankful for LOVE in my LIFE (and for my fabulous LIFE!)

I am thankful for LAUGHTER.

I am thankful for LEMONS and the prolific LEMON TREE in my yard.

I am thankful for LIONS and LEOPARDS and the LAWS that protect them.

I am thankful for LOVELY LAKES and LONG days to enjoy them. (She says while not enjoying Daylight Savings time 🙂

For what “L’ are you thankful?

I am thankful for MY MOM.

I am thankful for MUSIC.

I am thankful for MAI TAIS and the occasions to share them with my Sweetie in MAUI.

I am thankful for the MOON and MONKEYS, MANDARIN oranges, MOUNTAINS and MARBLES…(and “MAYBE for being such a great word” #StuffMyGirlSays)

I am thankful for my MARVELOUS MEMORIES of fun with friends and family.

For what “M” are you thankful?

My girl says she is thankful for NONNIE “the best grandma on the planet”.

I am thankful for NICE NEIGHBORS.

I am thankful for NOODLES of every kind!

I am thankful for NAILS (and for the fact that we have moved to the tiling portion of the bathroom renovation!)

I am thankful for NEW ORLEANS and NEW YORK for being such great cities that won’t let a hurricane keep them down!!

For what “N” are you thankful?

I am thankful for OWLS, ONIONS, ORANGES, ORANGUTANS, OTTERS and many OTHERS!

I am thankful for OIL that keeps my house warm (although I’d like to replace with greener choices ASAP.)

I am thankful for OREOS and OTHER childhood memory foods.

I am thankful for the OCEAN which reliably takes my breath away!

I am thankful for OPEN-MINDEDNESS.

For what “O” are you thankful?

I am thankful for PEANUT BUTTER, PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES, PEANUT SAUCE and PEANUTS.

I am thankful for all the marvelous PEOPLE in my life (many thanks to all you Bliss Habits fans in PARTICULAR!)

I am thankful for PENGUINS, PEACOCKS, POPSICLES, PINEAPPLE, the colors PINK and PURPLE, PLATES for holding our food, and PERIWINKLES, (These from my 5 year old… the Periwinkles are Blue’s friend and Tinkerbell’s sister!)

I am thankful for PEACHES my favorite fruit.

I am thankful for PLAY and the PLAY BASED EDUCATION my daughter is getting!

For what “P” are you thankful?

I am thankful for QUARTERS that add up to many dollars in our family collection jar. (A nice weekend getaway will be ours once cashed in!)

I am thankful for QUICHE which always feels fancier then eggs.

I am thankful for QUACKS hear over head as ducks fly by.

I am thankful for QUOTES that inspire.

I am thankful for a QUILT my dear friend Jaye made.

For what “Q” are you thankful??


I am thankful for RANDOMNESS that often delights!

I am thankful for RABBITS, RHINOS, RACCOONS, RINGTAILED LEMERS, RATS and REINDEER.

The beautiful RING on my finger and everything it REPRESENTS.

I am thankful for SILLY and SUNNY days.

I am thankful for SERENITY, SURPRISE, SIMPLICITY and SNARK.

I am thankful for my SWEETIE and all the SWEET things he does.

I am thankful for TREES, TREE HOUSES and TREE-FROGS.

I am thankful for TIGERS, TOADS and TURTLES.

I am thankful for TRAVEL and TIME to spend.

I am thankful for UMBRELLAS and other USEFUL things.

I am thankful for the UNITED STATES of AMERICA and my privilege to live here.

I am thankful for UNICORNS and the UNIMAGINABLE delight they bring my daughter.

I am thankful for UNDERWATER technology and the UNUSUAL deep sea creatures it allows us to see.

I am thankful for U-TURNS always available if my path is UNDESIRABLE.

I am thankful for VOTING and the privilege to do so.

I am thankful for VASES filled with daisies.

I am thankful for my VEHICLE which gets me where I want to go.

I am thankful for WONDER.

I am thankful for WONDERFUL WOMEN in my life.

I am thankful for WARMTH of hearts and in homes.

I am thankful for the X-Chromosome that makes me ME!

I am thankful for X-Rays that can see inside us.

I am thankful for the unusual yellow flowers of the XYRIS.

I am thankful for the X-AXIS on graphs (I love graphs!)

I am thankful for XYLOPHONE for being another X word!

For what “X” are you thankful?

I am thankful for YEARNING and the momentum it brings.

I am thankful for YEARS to live.

I am thankful for YESTERDAYS to remember.

I am thankful for YOUTH (and frankly wish I had more!)

I am thankful for YAMS and thanksgivings to share them!

For what “Y” are you thankful?

I am thankful for ZEBRAS.

I am thankful for ZEN.
