Mind Your Words.

This week’s topic is listening. As important as it is to be a good listener for others, it’s equally important to be a good listener for yourself.

Part of being a good listener for yourself involves self-love. There are a lot of ways to express self-love. My personal favorite is through the use of positive affirmations.

I learned about the power of positive affirmations from one of my clients. That’s the great thing about being a copywriter, I get to meet so many wonderful people teaching others so many wonderful things. I truly am blessed.

Before I met said client, I never even really knew what a positive affirmation was, let alone the effects it could have on my success.

So just what are positive affirmations?

They are positive statements that describe a desired situation. They must be repeated often, until they get impressed on the subconscious mind.

Repeating these positive affirmations, pushes the subconscious mind to take action, making the positive statements come true.

When you know how to use affirmations, you have a great tool for achieving success and for improving your life. The catch is, you have to listen to what you say. By listen I don’t just mean saying them out loud, I mean listening with such force that it opens your heart and your mind to the fact that you will achieve your desires.

Why words are powerful.

Most people become trapped by only repeating and listening to negative words and statements about their lives. By doing this, they create undesirable situations. Words have the power to both build and destroy your life. It’s the way you use them that determines whether they’re going to bring joy and happiness into your life or hate and harm.

Your subconscious mind listens to and accepts as true what you say. It attracts corresponding events and situations into your life. You must choose to listen to and say positive statements in order to get positive results in your life.

Imagine that you’re riding your bike with your friends at a local track.

They bike two miles around that track, which is something you’ve never done before. You desperately want to win their respect, you want to show them that you can make it, too.

You start peddling, and at the same time keep repeating in your mind, “I can do it, I can do it…”. You keep repeating, listening, thinking, and believing that you’re going to bike a whole two miles!

What are you actually doing? You’re repeating and listening to positive affirmations. You’re using them to become successful!

In a different situation, you might find yourself repeating and listening to, “I can’t do this”, “It’s too long for me”, “It’s not going to work out”. You’re going to lose ambition, motivation, and faith. You’re actually bringing about what you said to yourself.

How do you know if you’re using positive affirmations?

Simple. Listen to the words you repeat in your mind to discover whether you’re using negative statements, such as:

I can’t do this.
I’m too lazy.
I lack inner strength.
I’m going to fail.

If you find yourself using similar words and negative statements, you should change them, immediately.

Your words and thoughts program the mind in the same way that commands and scripts program a computer.

Repeating and listening to positive affirmations help you focus your mind on your goals.

By repeating and listening to positive affirmations consciously and intently, you influence your subconscious mind. In turn, it transforms your habits, behavior, attitude, and reactions, and even reshapes your external life.

How long does it take for positive affirmations to change your life?

It depends. Things might change immediately, in a few hours, in a few days, or take weeks or longer. It all depends on your focus, faith, strength of desire, the feelings you put into the words you say, and on how big or small your goal is.

It’s important to understand that repeating positive affirmations for a few minutes, and then thinking negatively the rest of the day, neutralizes the effects of the positive words. If you want to get positive results, you have to refuse to think negative thoughts.

Here are a few positive affirmations I repeat daily.

  1. I dig the creative energy note Autumn! I’ve published nearly 3400 posts to my blog by believing that I’m creative energy, ready to publish at a moments notice lol….Thanks!

  2. It seems that it is reasonable, I was considering that for a little while, and you know, I made exactly the same conclusions.
I remember the times of the last year in uni, which was a complete
mess, daily and without the end. The only thing I decided to do
was to purchase a few of my academic missions at essay services.

Well, guess what a relief this was. I struggled a few weeks along with my essays,
and this ceremony https://essayhub.com only saved me!!!
I graduated with good scores, and now I’m so
grateful for the service they provide me back then.
