I went looking for a quote on Naked and this one made me smile.

“Oh no, is it naked time?”
― Ilona Andrews, Magic Bleeds

It could mean one thing or another. What does it conjure up in your imagination? I guess it depends on where your head is at!

I can see a scene where two lovers are about to enter into a physical relationship and one of them utters this in order to break the tension.

I can see a scene where a group of women are discussing relationships and baring their secrets to all.

I can see a scene where it isn’t said out loud-said it a third voice to an invisible audience-just at that crucial crossroads of truth or story.

There are so many ways in which we clothe ourselves, literally and figuratively. Often, the actually clothing is more easily shed than the reveal of our true self.

The naked body can be far easier to reveal than our thoughts of what we expect, what we dream and what we hope for.

That particular reveal takes a lot of courage, depending on the audience. When we feel accepted fully for who we be, without judgment, it is a true gift. We will never know the freedom in that kind of getting naked unless we dive in and show ourselves to those we trust.

I know that it can be easier to show myself to a complete stranger. They don’t know who I am and they hold very little expectations. Relationships can create a multitude of expectations, especially the longer you have been in them.

Patterns develop over time and it can be hard to break them, even if they don’t serve anymore.
Access Consciousness has a clearing statement, which is this; destroy and uncreate your relationship (insert a name) POD, POC. (Short for the whole statement) It is designed to energetically clear everything about it and start with a clean slate.

What would your life look like if every day, you began with a clear slate with those that you loved? Would you be more naked?

Relationships of any kind are more complicated than they should be. We think we know what the other is thinking but if they were “naked” with us, the story might be very different than the one we conjured up in our mind.

The clearing statement is meant to get you out of your mind that only knows what it knows and bring more awareness into your life so that you can respond to the energies as they arise.

Naked can be good when it is done respectfully and with appreciation for the other being that you are in relationship with. You can choose to overlook their perceived shortcomings, be it yours or theirs’. You can choose to appreciate their kindnesses, their allowing of you when you are not at their best and return the favor to them when they are not at their best.

After all isn’t that what we all want? We want to be seen and heard, overlooked for our occasional bad temper and irritations and appreciated for all the kindnesses we have offered.

Your world would benefit by more nakedness in the context of inviting another to the party without judgment and without any expectations.

If you could say to another-I will appreciate you and I will appreciate your being. I will do my best to honor you. I will do my best to support you. I will do my best to ignore your occasional, to my eyes slips and grow the best parts of you for both of us.

I will hold the magnificence of your essence when you cannot. I will do my best to see you as God does.

We can already hear the sighs of relief.

You do not have to get it right all the time and you are never, in our eyes wrong. So with that knowledge, could you lighten up a little and just be who you are and allow the same of others?

Get naked and see if it fits for you. Try it on for size more often than not. You just might find there is a freedom that will come and feels much like skinny-dipping in a warm ocean on a summer night.

And just so you know-you are naked in our eyes all the time. We still love you. We always will-every bit of you!
