“Love Makes the World Go Round” How often have you heard those words? When you hear it do you say “Yeah But…” or do you embrace it? As we go through our normal day to day actions it is so easy to forget why we do all the things that we do. We go to jobs so our children can have food and opportunities, we do the laundry so our Sweeties have clean clothes to wear, we put bananas on tooth picks because our girl will eat them then, we bring by supper because mom won’t bother to make herself something nice… dozens upon dozens of things show our love.
This love week our Bliss Initiative is to catch Love in action.
Like Tamara did, can you see the smile on her daughters face?– catch yourself sharing love. What things have you already done today to share your love? What other things might you do before the day is done?
And what of the LOVE that is your birthright? January reminds us:
We are all loved by a sacred river
By January Handl
We are all loved by a sacred river
That runs through us unending
Toward the sea source of life
We often try to dam it, to capture
Its essence to fill the gap that
No earthly element can fill
Or we try to channel it toward
What we think is our destiny
Or toward a perfect personified image
That no one can hold for long
We think we have power to sway
Its road home,
We think we know which pathway
The river will obediently flow
Without flooding the banks
This rivers voice, whether it
Whispers in the deep wide slow stirring places
Or the chattering cascades of rock strewn beds
Or the roaring of the falls in free flight
Off the precipice
Never stops tying to tell us
Of its undying love for us
Its only request is surrender
Surrender
Surrender again
To the flow that wants to take us
Back to the heart
Back to our true self
Yes surrender to it! This week your initiative is to notice and share the love that surrounds you.
Now tell us in a comment just how you will do it!
