Seasons Change by Angela Presley

The only constant in life is change. When I began to understand that one truth, my life became a little easier.

Maya Angelou wrote this; “The horizon leans forward, offering you space to place new steps of change.”

It was my resistance to change that has caused problems in my past. I was unwilling
to accept the changes that were unfolding in my first marriage. I had made vows and vows and I had been told that vows, I had made, was meant to be honored.

But, what my younger self hadn’t factored in was that I was not the same person anymore. The person I had become needed a big change and if I didn’t lean into that change I would slowly destroy myself. Any new version of myself, that was waiting to be birthed, would be aborted.

It turned out that I was unwilling to lose that. I would like to say that I made a choice to honor myself, but that wouldn’t be true. Self -preservation was my only motivating factor.

Science has proven that we are not the same person physically that we were the day before. Every 7 years every cell in our body has been rebirthed.

Often, the same cells are recreated in their imperfections because our thoughts have dictated the patterning that is created. We don’t believe that our body can change and be well. We have been told that this is the reality of our body and so we believe that this is the reality of our life too.

But, what would happen if we began to believe that change could produce a different result. What if, as Maya Angelou wrote, that our immediate future offered us a space to place new steps of change?

When I look at nature, all I see is change. Nature doesn’t have to embrace change, because it is change. Not one thing in nature is stagnant.

I am like that and you are too. I can ask for change and so can you. That is the gift we have been given. We do not have to accept the status quo. We have a choice.

Throughout the ages questions have echoed outwards asking for change and answers have been birthed. There has been a collective asking as well as individual asking. Everyone on planet earth that has gone before you and you yourselves have created the planet as it is now.

Some of it appears to be in chaos, but chaos dear ones is about change. Sometimes,
That is the only thing that will move you in your personal lives towards something new. From your deep despair, your very being cries out for change and it is answered. At first glance, it doesn’t always look as you thought it would. The introductions can appear harsh if you have been resisting change.

But each life has a natural flow of joyful energy that underlies all that you be. You simply have to allow the space for it to show itself. You simply have to invite it into your awareness.

Oh-there you are you delicious, joyous change. There you are-that what I have been asking for-that which my body has been crying out for! There you are-now what will we do together? What else is possible?

The planet is your playground and the physical body is the vessel that you navigate your playground in. Both are enhanced by your happiness and your joyous acceptance of the only constant that there is in all of the universes-change.

It may seem easier to not change. It may seem easier to keep on doing the same old thing, but, we promise you dear ones that change is far easier in the long run and a whole lot more fun in the end.

And you know how we feel about fun!

  1. Lovely article! I write a lot about change from the perspective of cultivating resilience so I am keenly aware of the pros and cons, not to mention the overwhelming resistance some people have. I grew up surrounded by people terrified of change which caused me to rebel – I can look back over my life and see many transitions and changes in direction that I forced to create change. Not always in a wise and thoughtful way, but the experiences helped me to become who I am today. Thanks for the inspiration!
