Having Fun?

Welcome to Fun Week!

Fun – An exercise or activity for amusement or recreation. Finding enjoyment and playfulness.

This week Tamara steps from behind the camera and into a blast from the past photo from her childhood. Don’t we all have photos like that? Reminders of the time when fun was easy and as simple as flopping on a brother and his friend’s back!

Yesterday we celebrated Easter in our house with the requisite visit from the rabbit. My girl was up early and so excited to find all the eggs and other treats from the bunny. #OneSmartBunny brought her two Friends Lego sets which to my delight kept her happily playing ALL DAY LONG. It was fun for me to help her as needed and just be in the room as she played out the scenarios with the little people that came with the set. Simple uncomplicated fun.

Having Fun?

                    by January Handl

In every person there is a child

who when invited peeks their

Innocent head out, and sees the

always opportunity to…

PLAY.

With wind in the hair,

And warm earth on the feet,

A process without an end product

In mind.

In the simple joy of doing,

In the moving state of being

Led by only the present moment

And the dance with moving

Partners

Delight blossoms, focus grows

Giggles, chuckles, guffaws and grunts

spontaneous shifts of direction

letting go

the burdens grow lighter

forgetting the self,

while feeling ever more deeply

who you really are

Yes FUN is the access to who we really are! So this week’s Bliss Initiative is to go out there have some!

What ever it is that lightens your step, delights your heart or can make you smile, I insist that this week you pursue it.

Fun is a gift you give yourself. Please gift generously!
