Welcome to Cherish Week!

CHERISH – to keep or cultivate with care and affection.

What has us Cherish something?

Tamara shares: “My cherish image this week is a ceramic lion cub that my mother bought for me when I was 10 years old. It was the late 70’s in rural Wyoming and money was always tight. After pestering her for months she decided to buy it for me. I felt so lucky! I loved it so much! It’s the last cherished item I possess from my childhood.”

The Long-short Journey
by January Handl

Lately my body has protested,
The neglect,
The abuse
The indulgence
The hedonistic side paths
that I have followed at times
through out this amazing lifetime.

The louder the protest got,
the more ego pushed toward
More numbness,
More achievement,
More accomplishment,
More pleasing others,
More…

This temple of temptation
and desire
with such amazing hinges,
interconnected intricate systems,
mycelium-like
invisible connections to
All
Else,
provides constancy in breath
and opportunities
of acute awareness
in any given moment
This bio-bundle of intention
and unconsciousness,
I know at the core,
is worthy of deepest
Reverence

Honoring the unique journey,
perception’s hungry -dancing ,
I am finding ways of offering
my keen attention,
shared knowledge of solid sustenance and self-compassion,
of working the muscles enough,
enjoying life enough,
eating ONLY enough,
resting enough,
to cherish this rare treasure
which is only
temporarily mine to use,
mine to savor
on the long, short journey back
to true essence.

Yes! Cherish this rare treasure!
