“Your naked body should only belong to those who fall in love with your naked soul.” Charlie Chaplin

This quote was shared with me on Facebook yesterday. It touched me. It was taken from a letter that Charlie Chaplin had written to his daughter and I believe it is something every woman and man could take to heart.

I believe the essence of it is that a young woman should treasure who she is. The naked body is just a physical thing. Sometimes, young women share that part of themselves freely. Personally I don’t think that is necessarily a bad thing.

But, what girls don’t often remember or know, is that the intimacy of the physical body doesn’t always translate into love. They can equate sex with love. It isn’t always so, no matter how much they may want it to be that way.

Our naked bodies can be a great source of delight and when they are shared with someone who knows us in all of the ways-or most of them-that we be, it is a glorious thing. There is nothing better.

Because I didn’t always know the difference, I offered my body freely as a young woman. Most of the time it was lovely and sometimes, sometimes, it was far more than that.

On those occasions, I felt seen. After all, isn’t that what we all want?

We want to be seen in our fullness. We want someone to get us, understand who we are in that moment.

Sometimes, the naked soul is seen easily by just the right someone. When that happens it is love. But, the love is not necessarily forever. Sometimes, it is just for the moment. Two people will come together fully in love, with the essence of each other, in that moment.

It doesn’t have to be forever and that is the message I want my sons-I have no daughters-to receive.

If you are with someone who sees you and appreciates you in who you be then definitely, if you choose, get naked and be intimate. However, remember it doesn’t always translate into forever. Sometimes, it is just a moment in time.

Our naked souls are rarely on display. There are not many people that we invite into our private world. It hasn’t always felt safe to do that. Despite that, some people see underneath all of our fears and see us anyway. They see our magnificence. They see our being. They are a gift to us and that gift doesn’t always translate into physical intimacy but if it does-it is can be pretty darn spectacular.

There is much confusion on your planet between sex and love. You can have one without the other, but because you confuse the two it can be very unsatisfying for you. Your physical bodies are meant to be touched and to be loved. Your cells sing with delight when two come together with appreciation for each other.

Appreciation is highly under rated. Appreciation will guide you in the best direction for you. How you feel will guide you in the best direction for you. If you could educate your young ones to honor their feelings by honoring their feelings you will see your world change mighty fast!

You have the power within you to find your way-the best way for you. Your feelings are the tool and when you are naked with your own feelings you are aware of what the next step for you is.

Too many of you shove your feelings down. You judge them as inappropriate and as a consequence you fail to take a good look at them and notice what they are trying to tell you. More often than not the feelings that feel yucky are a clear indication that at that moment in time, this is not for you. When those feelings are absolute joy and knowing then in that moment it most definitely for you!

How much easier can be than that? Trust yourself, honor yourself and pass that to those in your life. Let them see that. Get a little naked with them and yourself enough to say no, not now or yes, yes, yes!
