“True Passion is intoxicating and invigorating, soothing and sensuous, magical and mystical.  I just thought you should know what you are in for.”  – Tazo Tea Bag Passion   I think a serving of Passion tea a day might be just what the doctor ordered.  Living a life filled with passion, doing what you love and loving what you do sounds like it fits in perfectly with the word hapful.

One of the ways that I believe we can create a hapful life is to pay attention to those aha moments that happen every so often.  They can happen anywhere.  They can happen when you are visiting an incredible place like the beach where I took the picture above.  They can happen when your are alone with lots of time to rest and think.  Or an aha moment can happen like it did to me yesterday when I was talking with a client on a coaching call and realized how much I loved what I was doing.  I realized that no matter how much time or effort it took to make my business grow it didn’t matter.  I was doing what I was supposed to do and each time I talked with someone who was sharing their plans and dreams with me I was receiving a gift that I would treasure always.

When you have one of those aha moments where everything becomes clear and makes sense, pay attention to the moment and how you feel.  It might be a feeling of joy and excitement that tells you that you are on the right track.   Or it could be a feeling of unease or dread that tells you that it might be time for a change.   Pay attention to what is happening around you.  Pay attention to what is inspiring you.  Pay attention to what is giving you energy.  Listen to what your aha moment is telling you.  Record the moment  and its effect in your journal.   It’s important to give your aha moment the time and  attention it deserves.

This week I encourage you to listen to what is happening all around you.  What makes your heart sing?  What fills you up with positive thoughts and feelings?  What makes you happy?  Where do your true passions lie?  The more you know yourself the easier life becomes.  When you are in touch with who you are and what you love, priorities often change, decisions become simpler, and creating the life you were meant to live becomes easier.  Look for your aha moments.  They are there.  They are important.  Celebrate them and use them to make the changes necessary so that you are living a truly hapful life.

  1. What is so exciting Lisa is that the more I look for them the more special moments I find. It is truly the simple things that make life hapful for me.

  2. This was such a GREAT reminder, Ginny… adding my thanks, too! It’s been a tough week, so this really gave me scope to pause and reflect… :o)

    • Thank you Tracy for taking the time to comment even in the midst of a rough week. The good thing about life is that it never stays the same. There are always ups and downs. That is why I am constantly reminding myself to enjoy the moment. Have a wonderful weekend.

  3. Great thoughts, Ginny. No man is an island unto himself, and we all have others who take our time and energy. There’s nothing wrong with that (speaking as a mom here), but it’s easy to get off track and forget where we’re really headed… i.e. where God is leading me, and has called me to go. I get so easily sidetracked, and then I am restless and at odds with Him and with myself.

    • Hi Willena, It is definitely easy to get off track. With so many responsibilites pulling us in so many directions it is bound to happen. That is why I try to reflect often. I believe in asking myself lots of questions. What’s working? What is a distraction? Is the path that I am on the one that is taking me where I want to go? These simple questions lead me to insights about myself. Then I begin realigning my journey by taking one small step at a time. Because there is so much going on all of the time, I remember to be as kind to myself as I am to everyone else.

Have a great week and thank you so much for taking the time to comment. It is so nice to meet you.
