For those of you who don’t know, I previously blogged at Everyday Bliss. I spent a fun year exploring whimsy and decided to put a little retrospective together highlighting some of the fun. Before I get started, I also wanted to remind you to stop by yesterday’s post which includes a fun giveaway!
Enjoy the highlights and click on over to the original posts if you want to see more!

Whimsy is cooking over at our house. We have glitter and glue tracked all over the place and several projects lay half finished around the family room and kitchen. I think we’ll finish up our fairy doors later today. We are making a retro ambrosia salad for our block party and my girl has embraced the use of Maraschino cherries and marshmallows in food. Ha! who doesn’t!!
This virtue has been so fun this past year I think a little review is in order.
From the Wearable Whimsy post:
This fabulous dress is made of PAPER!!
I found it on the JoMA (The Journal of Mythical Arts) web site.
From the post More Wearable Whimsy: [Note: fun Jewelry is also included in that post]
These colorful whimsical shoes, by Hetty Rose, are handmade using vintage fabrics! From the website: The collection is based on a theory of re-using and re-working vintage materials in a creative and sustainable way, hand making gorgeous, feminine shoes to fit. Image found in NinkyBink Blog.

There is the delightful Towders and Nests post:
Then there is Kitchen Whimsy, one of the funniest, particularly for you foodie folks:
And the always fun Whimsy of a Child:
