What does your curiosity ask?

 

A trip to an aquarium is bound to get the Inquiry juices flowing! Tamara captures it beautifully in this photo that asks more questions than it answers. Look how big! How can they swim? They don’t even look real. It must be magic… I just love the wonder each thought carries as one tiptoes in worlds not normally seen.

My daughter also does this sort of thing in our yard, under a bush or rock, behind a leaf she discovers the worlds of bugs, rollie-pollies and snails. In the sky she sees birds, clouds, planets and stars. Every turn provides a new discovery and I just love to watch her curiosity grow.

the truth,

and when do facts get in the way of

your deepest knowing?

 

Today I recall that all

answers lie within,

and the greatest teachers

I have ever known

left me deep lessons

with tantalizing, lingering feelings like

I am just remembering something

long forgotten…

 

Today I am knowing

that when I am knowing

I may not be leaving room

for the growing edge

that keeps me engaged

interested and alive…

January Handl is first and always a mother, has been a preschool teacher and parent educator for 25 years. She is currently the Director/head teacher at Gazebo Park School, and lives at Esalen Institute in Big Sur. She lives simply in awe of existence.
